Evaporating Dish With Handle

Ceramic evaporating vessels are used for evaporating concentrated solutions or burning solids. Large mouth and shallow bottom, available in two types: round bottom and flat bottom with handle.

Note of using

• Do not cool suddenly after heating to prevent cracking.
• After heating, it should not be placed directly on the experimental table. It should be placed on an asbestos mesh to avoid scalding the experimental table.
• When there is a large amount of liquid, it can be heated directly. When there is a small amount or viscous liquid, asbestos mesh should be used for heating.
• When heating the evaporating dish, it is necessary to continuously stir with a glass rod to prevent the liquid from splashing around due to local heating.
• After heating, it is necessary to use crucible pliers to move the evaporating dish.
• After a large amount of solid precipitates, turn off the alcohol lamp and evaporate the remaining water with waste heat. Ceramic evaporating dishes can withstand high temperatures, but cannot be suddenly cooled. Crucible tongs should be used to take and place the evaporating dishes, and a tripod or iron stand should be used to fix them during heating. When there is a large amount of liquid, it can be directly heated and evaporated on the flame, but the amount of liquid cannot exceed two-thirds of its volume. When the liquid volume is low or viscous, it should be heated through asbestos mesh. The evaporating dish is mainly used for distillation and other operations, and is an ideal chemical distillation instrument.
