Application
When preparing specimens, put each tissue block into a disposable labeled cassette, secure with the dehydration lid, then load the cassette into a dehydration basket for processing in the tissue dehydrator. Store embedding molds on the lower shelf of the wax oven.
For embedding: Transfer the basket with dehydrated tissue blocks into the same oven as the embedding molds. Remove and set aside the dehydration lids. Select an embedding mold matching the tissue block size. Heat the mold briefly over an alcohol burner with tweezers. Place the tissue block inside the mold, align the matching numbered disposable cassette on top, pour a small amount of molten paraffin wax, and hold steady briefly to prevent overflow.
