Application
Serological pipettes are used for accurate measurement and transfer of fixed volume liquid and are widely employed in cell culture, bacteriology, molecular biology and clinical research.
Cleaning treatment: Check if the pipette is intact and the graduations are clear; select the proper specification as required. Pre-rinse with sample liquid for high-precision use.
Liquid absorption: Connect the pipette to a pipette controller. Insert the tip 2-3 mm below liquid surface, draw liquid up and adjust the meniscus to the scale mark. Wipe off extra liquid outside the tip.
Liquid discharge: Place the tip against container wall and release liquid slowly. Blow out residual liquid only for blow-out type pipettes.
Cleaning: Mainly for one-time use. Dispose of waste properly after use.
Serological pipettes are not suitable for viscous, foaming or corrosive liquids. Never use mouth to draw liquid, and do not touch the tip to prevent contamination.
