●Advantage

The cover glass is laid over the specimen on the slide, which prevents contact between liquid and the objective lens to avoid lens contamination. It also keeps the top surface of observed cells on the same plane at an equal distance from the objective lens for sharper microscopic images.

Application

The cover glass can fix samples in position to prevent contamination. Its core function is to flatten solid specimens and form uniformly thin liquid layers, widely used in biotechnology, microbiology and cell observation.

Instructions for cover glass 18×18mm

1. Cover slips are usually used in conjunction with glass slides, open the 18×18mm vacuum packaging and gently remove them;

2. Fingers are strictly prohibited from touching the transparent observation area in the middle;

3. Only when there are no scratches, water stains, or dust can it be used for transparent observation;

4. Place the glass slide on the microscope and drop one drop of liquid in the middle;

5. Use the cover glass 18×18mm to spread the liquid evenly;

6. Carefully observe under a microscope.

Notes

1.18×18mm is a small-sized coverslip, suitable for standard conventional slides. The droplet should not be too large to prevent overflow.

2. Do not touch the light-transmitting surface of the cover glass with your hands; only grasp the edges or corners.

3. Fragile and thin, handle with care during picking and placing to prevent breakage and scratches.

4. After observation, promptly remove, wash, dry, and store for reuse.

5. If oil immersion microscopy is to be performed, ensure the coverslip surface is clean and free of scratches.

• Cover slip sliding: Excess liquid can be removed by blotting with absorbent paper.
