Description
Glass Flat Bottom Flask
Guide Medlab flat‑bottom boiling flasks are heavy‑duty laboratory glassware crafted from premium 3.3 borosilicate glass. Thanks to their stable flat base, these flasks can stand upright on lab benchtops without extra support, making them well‑suited for heating, reflux and general‑purpose chemical reactions. They are available with plain fire‑polished necks or interchangeable ground joints in sizes such as 24/29, 29/32, alongside custom non‑standard dimensions. Boasting excellent thermal‑shock resistance and high chemical inertness, they serve routine applications in chemistry laboratories, university teaching labs and industrial R&D departments.

●Advantage
Featuring stable self‑standing flat base for convenient placement on lab countertops, our flat bottom boiling flasks come with uniform wall thickness to achieve even heat distribution. The 3.3 borosilicate glass delivers excellent thermal‑shock resistance and great inertness against most common lab reagents. Multiple capacities together with optional standard or non‑standard ground joints are offered, and OEM customization service is also available to match diverse experimental requirements.
Application
Guide Medlab glass flat‑bottom boiling flasks are heavy‑duty reaction vessels crafted from 3.3 borosilicate glass, engineered for uniform heating, reflux and distillation workflows. They are widely used in organic chemistry labs, pharmaceutical research, environmental analysis and university chemistry teaching.
• Continuous heating, boiling and constant‑temperature reactions for organic synthesis
• Laboratory distillation, reflux condensation and solvent purification processes
• Long‑term thermal reactions requiring stable, even heat distribution
• Sample pretreatment and routine chemical testing for research and industrial laboratories

Usage Method
1. Before operation, inspect the glass body for cracks or damage. Clean the flat‑bottom flask thoroughly and dry it completely prior to use.
2. For hot‑plate heating: Place the flask steadily on the hot‑plate surface. Do not fill liquid over two‑thirds of total volume. Avoid sharp temperature changes to prevent glass cracking.
3. For reflux & distillation assembly: Connect with matched ground‑glass accessories such as condensers. Secure joint connections properly before starting heating. Do not heat the empty flask.
4. For temporary reagent storage: Set the flask upright on the bench or flask rack thanks to its stable flat base. It is only for short‑term preservation, not for long‑term sample storage.
5. After the experiment, cool down the flask to room temperature first, then clean residues promptly. Handle carefully to protect the flat bottom and ground‑glass joints from collision.
